Frequently asked questions
A quick look at how MiDim works. Didn't find an answer? Write to us.
What is MiDim?
MiDim is a web app for tracking utility bills. You enter meter readings, and the app uses your tariffs to calculate the monthly amount, keeps the history of bills and shows how your spending changes.
Do I need to install anything?
No. MiDim opens in any modern browser on a phone or computer. If you like, you can add it to your phone's home screen — then it launches like a regular app, without the address bar.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes, partly. After the first launch MiDim keeps a copy of your data on the device, so you can view bills, readings and history offline. Changes can be made once the connection is back.
Which services can I track?
Any: water, sewage, electricity, gas and its delivery, heating, building maintenance, internet, TV, waste collection and your own services. Charges can be by meter, a fixed amount, by quantity (e.g. per person) or based on the consumption of other services — like sewage calculated from the volume of water.
What do I do when a tariff changes?
Add a new tariff with the date it takes effect. MiDim keeps the tariff history and uses the one in effect for each month, so past bills are not recalculated.
Can I track several apartments or a house?
Yes. One account can hold several properties — an apartment, a house, an office — and you can switch between them quickly. Each property has its own services, tariffs and history.
Can I keep the records together with my family?
Yes. The owner of a property can invite other people by email. Once they accept the invitation, they see the same property and can enter readings and mark payments. Access can be revoked at any time.
Is my data safe?
Your data is stored in your account on the server and is only transferred over a secure HTTPS connection, and passwords are stored only as a hash. We do not sell data or show ads. See the privacy policy for details.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can save a monthly bill and the analytics report as PDF, and export all your data to a CSV file in the settings.
Which languages and currencies does MiDim support?
The interface is available in Ukrainian and English. Amounts can be kept in hryvnias, dollars, euros, złoty or pounds.
